A community cornerstone within Birmingham’s bohemian Digbeth district, Kanteen is the area’s premier independent coffee shop, serving hand-crafted beverages and fresh food, prepared by highly-skilled baristas and passionate chefs.

Having taken on the brand in the midst of a substantial interior refurb, as well as a global pandemic, we had a unique opportunity to refine and adapt its aesthetic. We also built a bespoke mobile app, fully integrated into the existing POS system and loyalty programme, while fostering the daytime eatery’s relationship with its after-hours alter-ego, Rico Libre.

As the brand’s expansion potential bubbled over, we directed a comprehensive re-brand in collaboration with Studio Chong, which is set to materialise in the near future.
