The Project

A fiesta of flavour

Occupying prime real-estate in Birmingham’s eccentric Digbeth district, tapas pop-up, Rico Libre, already had a pre-pandemic following. As such, the main challenge when developing its refreshed brand identity was reconnecting to the restaurant’s cultural roots and honing in on the authenticity of its traditional culinary offering.

We began by refining the brand colours and typography, bringing a Mediterranean warmth to newer assets, before lightening the tone of voice across all web and social content, and capturing mouth-watering images to ensure the signature small plates made a big impact.

From a marketing perspective, we also enhanced the guest experience, establishing a new loyalty scheme, as well as various themed events — the weekly Paella Night is a local fave!
